We are slowly approaching spring at Farmstead on the River. There’s a quiet anticipation in the air — longer light in the evenings, the faintest signs of green returning to the fields, and the steady sound of the river reminding us that renewal is always on its way.
This in-between season feels like an invitation. An invitation to prepare our hearts, to make space, and to step gently toward what is ahead.
As we look toward spring, we wanted to share a few meaningful gatherings — and a beautiful moment from earlier this year — here at Farmstead.
Art & Soul Workshop — “The Light Breaks Through…”
We began 2026 with our first Art & Soul Workshop of the year centered on the theme, “The Light Breaks Through…”
Together, participants reflected on:
“For you are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see.” — Psalm 36:9
“The true light that gives light was coming into the world.” — John 1:9
It was a meaningful day of creativity, Scripture reflection, and quiet connection. Through art and conversation, we explored how light meets us — even in seasons that feel dim or uncertain.

We’re grateful for those who joined us and are sharing a few photos from the workshop so you can glimpse the beauty of that day.
Nourish in Nature Day Retreat

We are delighted to welcome Carolyn Purvis to Farmstead this season as she leads our Nourish in Nature Yoga Day Retreat.
Carolyn has a gentle, grounded presence and a heart for helping others reconnect with their bodies and souls through intentional movement and rest. Her day retreat will include guided yoga, quiet reflection, journaling time, and opening and closing circles to ground the day in community. It’s designed for those longing to slow down, reset, and be nourished — inside and out.
Whether you’re new to yoga or simply in need of a peaceful day away, this retreat is for you.

The Upper Room Experience

We are also preparing for the Last Supper:Upper Room Experience — an immersive evening of remembrance, reflection, and shared meal.
Through Scripture, imagination, and thoughtful reenactment, this gathering invites you to step into the final Passover meal Jesus shared with His disciples. Around the table, we reflect on the depth of His love, grace, and sacrifice. This experience will be led by Patti Hunter.
It is a meaningful and sacred evening that many have shared brings Scripture to life in a powerful way.
We would love for you to gather with us. For more info or to register: https://www.pattihunter.com/the-last-supper-upper-room-experience-april-3-2026/
